Mickey at the Bernabéu
Disneyland Paris celebrates its 15th anniversary at Real Madrid's stadium

Disneyland Resort Paris chose the Santiago Bernabéu as the venue for their 15th anniversary celebration. Approximately 100 children attended a spectacular light and sound display that ended with the descent of a gigantic Mickey-shaped ballon.
Millions of children have seen their dreams come true in Disneyland Resort Paris these past 15 years. Many of those children are Spanish and that's why Madrid has been one of the cities chosen to host the Resort's 15th anniversary celebrations. The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium was considered the ideal venue for the party.
One hundred children, most of them from the schools of Real Madrid's Foundation, enjoyed a light and sound show on Thursday presided by Mickey and Goofy. Pictures of Disneyland Paris were projected onto the stands at the stadium and a gigantic Mickey-shaped balloon called "The Happiest Balloon on Earth" landed on the pitch. Many of Disney's most famous songs could be heard during its descent.
The arrival of the world's most famous mouse kickstarted the party, which was hosted by Javier Martínez, Vicepresident of Disneyland Resort Paris in Southern Europe, and the chef Sergi Arola, who created the spectacular brithday cake. All the children blew out the fifteen candles that represented each year Disneyland Paris has been open, putting an end to the celebrations.
