Bloody hell. I'm sick of dealing with complacency.
If you're going to do something, you put 100% effort into doing that something, otherwise don't do it at all. Right?
It makes it that much worse when the excuse is "my schedule is too full". Really, I ain't taking any of that shit. I'm doing 2 postgraduate degrees, work 2 jobs, and play football. I still have time for the one and only rehearsal we have for the Good Friday mass. Plus, I have especially rearranged/composed the violin parts for her. Even though I have 2 presentations due on Thursday.
But the violinist doesn't show up for the rehearsal on Sunday. Because she has to teach on Sundays. Lame excuse. She could've rescheduled her students' lessons, or stopped lessons for one day. We're not asking for much - just ONE rehearsal for such an important mass.
So I rang her just now, asking if she could come to my place (1pm) before we have to get to church this Friday (at 1:30pm). And she gives me the whole "my schedule is too full" crap again. I'm only asking for 30 minutes! Far out. If she's so fucking busy, then she should've said no in the first place! As if she's the only violinist around...gees!
I don't even know if she'll show up at my place at 1pm on Friday. I sure hope her sight reading skills are good enough.
