My first Champions League match
That's the Asian Champions League, not UEFA.
SYDNEY FC 2-2 URAWA RED DIAMONDS
My brother should've left the car at home... $20 for parking! And it was just a crappy patch of grass, not a real car park. And leaving was even worse. It probably took us 20 minutes to get the hell outta there, and we only live 20 minutes away from Aussie Stadium! GAH.
Anyways, onto the match. We scored in the first minute! Carney was AWESOME. And then converted a penalty! And then Urawa, the Manchester United of Asia, the club that has a budget of two A-Leagues put together, rose to the occasion and played attacking football. Although it was really our fault we conceded one of the goals... Bolton (our keeper) had actually stopped the ball, but it slipped out of his gloves. Like Kalac in the World Cup. *shakes head*
Sydney FC has improved since Terry Butcher left, it's quite obvious. But there are still things to work on. Like, not taking 50 years to pass the ball to an unmarked teammate. And fitness level. The lads played brilliant attacking football in the first 30 minutes, and looked absolutely exhausted for the rest of the match. Branko Culina didn't use up all the substitutions, not sure why.

I have a presentation tomorrow morning for one of my music classes, I hope I haven't lost my voice from yelling "Come on Sydney!" and "GOOOOOAAALLLL!!!" too much. ;)
