Golden Globe Awards 2007

I was not at all surprised that Helen Mirren won "Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television" for her role in Elizabeth I. That's what happened in the Emmys last year. It's all about timing. Had Bleak House been broadcasted in a different year, I'm sure Gillian would've won the award. Nice to see Gillian back in action after a few months. Her hair looked lovely!

What I was surprised about was Forest Whitaker getting the "Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama" award. The Last King of Scotland was only recently released. I was expecting Leo to win for The Departed, since that movie was such a huge thing compared to LKoS. I'm pleased though, and I can't wait to watch LKoS when it starts next month in Sydney.
