Ruud: "Becks is an example"
Real Madrid's Ruud van Nistelrooy opened the door on Thursday how David Beckham is dealing with being left out of the first team this season.

Beckham has started only three matches of the 12 Madrid have contested in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in this campaign.

"Becks doesn't seem frustrated to me," the Dutch striker said. "He is working hard for his chances. I know he likes it here and he wants to take every chance to prove he should play."

Newspaper reports both in Spain and England have suggested that he may leave if he is not given a run in the team. He will be out of contract in May.

Madrid have been back in the spotlight this week after striker Antonio Cassano blasted coach Fabio Capello and is now training separately from the rest of the squad.

In contrast Van Nistelrooy said that former England captain Beckham is setting a great example to the rest of the Madrid squad.

"He is a great sportsman, a great team player. It is a very good sign to see his attitude."

Van Nistelrooy convinced Real Madrid will face Man Utd
Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is convinced it's destiny they will face Manchester United this season.

The ?10.3million Real Madrid striker, 30, was forced out of Manchester United in the summer by Sir Alex Ferguson.

And along with former Old Trafford idol David Beckham, he is itching for a clash with his old boss.

Real are safely through to the last 16 after their 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday - even though Van Nistelrooy missed a penalty.

He said: "Maybe it is destiny to play United. David and I have said it would be great to go back to Old Trafford.

"Ferguson had personal problems with me and can be an aggressive man."
