"El Clasico" weekend

SYDNEY FC 1 - 2 MELBOURNE VICTORY My El Clasico weekend started with a home defeat. :( Vicky and I braved the cold and the rain...I think we sat on someone else's seat, oh well! Nobody came to complain. :P Sydney FC got off to a good start with Steve Corica's goal. Corica and Mark Milligan were subbed off for injury, and we totally sucked in the 2nd half. Passing was sloppy, we were unorganised in defence and as a result, Archie Thompson (of all people!) scored. I did my fair share of booing! I hoped that the match wasn't an omen for my other teams involved in big matches the next day.
MANCHESTER UNITED 2 - 0 LIVERPOOL YES! Top of the table once more. Scholsey's 500th match - he scored the first goal. And then...RIO SCORED THE NEXT GOAL! :D It was Stevie G's 350th match, but he didn't get the chance to do much. Kuyt was crap - he kept running around and when he finally got the ball, he got dispossessed after 2 seconds. Crouch's foul on Edwin was unnecessary. MU played really well, they moved the ball around and kept attacking. Giggsy and Fletcher were awesome, Rooney did alright (it was his 100th match for United) too, but I wish he'd broken his goal-scoring drought.
REAL MADRID 2 - 0 BARCELONA YESSSSSS!!! We beat Barca! Raul headed in the first goal in the 3rd minute, and Ruud scored the other in the 51st minute. :D My boys are in such fine form (both scored in the Champions League match earlier in the week) - it was like a big "up yours" to their national coaches. Everyone played well, especially Guti, Robinho and Sergio Ramos. There was a lot more one-touch passing and swift counter-attacking. Defence needs a bit more fine tuning. If we continue to play like this or even better, we'll surely win a title or two!
