I know I said a proper update was to come yesterday...

Haven't had the chance to sit at the computer much all week, let alone type anything here. Haven't been in the mood to write either. No, I'm not depressed or anything, so don't worry. When heaps of things all happen at once, it's hard to put them down in words. I'm not a natural writer.

But I have glanced and read most of your journals, so I do know what's going on in your lives. :)

The past week: the usual 12 music students, volunteer work at the nursing home on Tuesday and lab on Thursday. Plus driving all the way to Parra for my newest friend's birthday dinner (at a Turkish restaurant, complete with belly dancer!), spending a Sunday afternoon drawing with a mentally-challenged kid (I do mean it in a non-offensive way, I'm not sure of the correct words to use; the girl does have a below-average IQ for her age and attends a special school), and getting a new passport (which costs a whopping $193!!). Oh, and lots of football-watching (Asian Cup & Euro qualifiers, A-League, Ruud's first La Liga match, etc.).

I'll expand when I get the chance, it's been a full day. And I didn't sleep well because of last night's crazy storm. The lightning was so bright and the thunder was so noisy...and before I knew it, it was 3:30am and I got up for Socceroos v. Kuwait (which we lost, pathetically, 2-0).
