tempus fugit
Horseriding Day (on Sunday) was great, despite getting lost on the way there and having a sore ass from the saddle, LOL. My horse for the day, Tonker, was obedient and really clever in general. The other horses kept stopping to eat leaves or "use the bathroom" during the trek, but Tonker didn't need to do any of that. :P We drove to Stanwell Park to have lunch (at 3pm...or was it later than that?). We realised we didn't have any oil...and basically couldn't eat until 4pm. The sun was beginning to set and we felt the temperature drop by the minute... It was one of the happiest days I've had in a while. Thanks to PJ for driving, and of course, thanks to Alice for organising EVERYTHING!

Disney on Ice (Saturday) was fun too, except when the kid next to me started getting cranky. And when the guy in front of me was moving around and his head kept getting into my photos! :\ More about Disney later, I have over 100 pics to sort out.
I'm getting football withdrawal symptoms! Can't believe a month has passed, and the World Cup is over. Germany came 3rd (YES! they beat Portugal!), and unfortunately, Italy won the WC. Meh. What did Materazzi say to Zizou? Before all the media started making their own guesses, I had a feeling that it had something to do with his race or his mother. It had to be something very close to his heart.
There were some spectacular footballing moments (e.g. Argentina's 24-pass goal, the Socceroos' 3 goals in the last 8 minutes against Japan), some very emotional moments (Ruud's first World Cup goal, Australia advancing to the round of 16), and too many controversial refereeing decisions (the non-penalty which ended Australia's WC dreams, "The Battle of Nuremburg" - Holland v. Portugal, the ref who gave 3 yellow cards). There were some poor coaching decisions (Eriksson not bringing enough strikers and using a just-recovered Rooney as a lone striker, van Basten not using his most experienced striker when Holland desperately needed a goal to save them from elimination), and...I could go on forever. I can't wait for the 2006-07 season to begin, and of course, Euro 2008 and the Asia Cup!
I received early birthday cards/gifts from my cousin and Tracey! Thanks girls. *hugs*
