The Girl with the Goalden Boot

Been busy with all sorts of things. July's always like that. I'll catch up on your journals as much as I can, I just haven't been in front of the computer much.

* I'm trying to get the soccer match on Sunday sorted out. And it's frustrating chasing people for emails. How hard is it to type "yes I'd like to come" or "sorry I can't make it" and click "send"? What's ironic is that the people I've only met once have all replied, but the ones I've known for years are the slack ones. *shakes head*

* I might be getting a PAID job as a temp at another lab (in Cabramatta). The doctor who owns the lab (in Homebush) I go to every Friday has asked me for my details, and thinks I've had enough experience to help out at his other lab. I'm just waiting for his call.

* The 2006 St. George Eisteddfod began yesterday and I helped out with the piano section in the afternoon. Had to sort out the sheet music for the adjudicator. When you work at these public events, you meet all sorts of people. Including the obnoxious ones. There are really wonderful people out there, but there are just as many who don't read the rules, try to sneak in without paying, have no respect for others in general. And too many people who don't have the courtesy to queue up. If the parents don't queue up, I guess you can't expect much from the kids, huh. I hope I meet nicer people next weekend.

* For the football fans - the Ruud transfer drama continues. :( Will he show up at training in Manchester in the morning? I knew he'd show up at Carrington. ;)

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
