Keep handing me those tissues I can't believe it. What did you guys think? Was that last one really worth a penalty? The Socceroos played so, so well (much better than England, I daresay) for 93 minutes. Italy played really well too with 10 men. How cruel it was to lose in that way, after working so hard, to concede a penalty with less than a minute to go. Poor Lucas Neill must be feeling so guilty. I lost it when I saw Harry Kewell looking so sad. *hugs Harry* He did so much to get us through to this round of 16, and hurt himself so bad in the process that not only could he not participate in this match, but he was on crutches! :(
We did everything that we could, we worked so hard, everyone in the team did their very best. Nobody expected us to get this far. You must remember that this is only our second World Cup. I'm so proud of the boys. It's the luck of the draw, isn't it? Imagine we were initially placed in the group with Togo and Korea, we may have advanced further in the tournament.
*sigh*
