Holland are out of the World Cup, and I haven't stopped crying since van Basten made his third substitution. It was the craziest match I have ever seen (16 yellow cards and 4 red cards). At least Ruud wasn't involved in that mess, and no one can blame him for anything. van Basten's biggest mistake today was playing Kuyt instead of Ruud. The youngesters don't have the experience, and omg, Kuyt was just CRAP. I think Ruud may have come on in the second half if Holland still had 11 men, and then...shit happened. Everyone just lost it. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. If only the Dutchies had kept their cool, they would've had the advantage of an extra man, Ruud could've replaced Kuyt and would've scored a goal or even two.
If Holland and England switched groups, the story would've been so different.
At least Ruud has been in the World Cup, and had scored his goal, but he must be upset that he won't be in Germany for his 30th birthday (on July 1). Commentators predict he may be too old for the next World Cup, and his future in Manchester United is still uncertain. Oh God, someone hand me more tissues...
ENGLAND HAS TO BEAT PORTUGAL. Please. Go get 'em, boys.
edit:
Not only was Robben not given a penalty or even just a free kick, but Portugal got the free kick. That was so unfair, and Holland was denied a chance to equalize.
