Went shopping on Thursday for a new winter quilt, mothers day present (I got her a pair of slippers), and socks (7 pairs for $10 only!)... Started getting a headache when I got home, but managed to survive for another hour before I couldn't handle it anymore. I've never had such an intense headache before. It was like someone wanted to crush my head into bits with a mortar and pestle. My headaches usually go away after a nap, but this time, I was in so much pain I couldn't get to sleep. :(
Thank God for Panadol.
Fortunately, I was able to work a full day at the lab on Friday. Spending more hours there per week, hopefully, is a good sign. If not, at least I'm doing something useful. Learnt how to do rough-cutting and trimming of the specimen (already encased in paraffin), and observed Erikar sorting out specimen in the cut-up room. Ok, I won't bore you anymore with pathology!
Mrs. Silcock (one of my music teachers) was in hospital this week with a bad case of pneumonia. Apparently it was due to her flu shot (I query that though). I was so worried when her son rang me the other day (Mrs. Silcock is in her 70s). Thank goodness she was back home on Friday afternoon. I'll be visiting her next Monday.
I still have a billion things to do...make mum's card, sort out my students' Piano Eisteddfod forms and money, get everything ready for students doing their exams at the end of the month, sort out applications for those taking exams in November, figure out how to use the new printer properly, backup the files that I can't live without because my mum's computer is infected with a virus (all the computers in the house are connected)...
