The Girl with the Goalden Boot

Went to uni to take photos with Leanna since it was her graduation today. I got her a white Forever Friends graduation bear. Hee. And then I ended up having lunch with Mary and her friend who's also doing honours. We chatted (mostly about food, lol) for 2 hours. Isn't it great when you meet people, and click immediately? I also saw Alex and Gloria - high school friends I hadn't seen since graduating, and it was sort of comforting to hear that I wasn't the only one struggling with proper employment.

I went to the city afterwards to look for birthday cards/presents, because I now know 3 people with birthdays on April 9, and 2 on April 10. What's interesting is that I got to know them from very different places - primary school, high school, uni, the ER fandom and the XF fandom.

I couldn't find anything decent this afternoon (sorry guys!)...but I finally found myself a pair of black pumps. Leather. $69.95. Scully-styled. I needed something simple, but formal enough for job interviews, should I get asked for one.

Guess what Lola's been watching as of yesterday?

It's filmed so beautifully, and I love the lighting (mostly dark, but with bits of colour here and there) and the music. My favourite character is Lady Dedlock (by default!), but I like Esther a lot as well - we're meant to like her.

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
