2005
Sorry, no LJ-cuts on Blogger. ;)
January - The first month of the year was mostly spent on preparing for GAMSAT. Took the Medprep course and had so much fun, even though it was a really full-on (and expensive) course. Two weeks straight of 4-11pm classes. Met a bunch of passionate and dedicated people. I hope to see them again one day.
February - Did practice GAMSAT questions while being inspired by Abby (or more appropriately, Dr. Lockhart) at the same. :) Took a trip with the folks to Hong Kong, to sort out some stuff, visit relatives and eat/shop.
March - Took GAMSAT. Rather unprepared because I'd just returned from HK and a week later, I had to sit a grueling 6-hour exam.
April - Made my decision to have a 3rd attempt at the A.Mus.A Musicianship exam, and resumed music lessons with Mrs. Silcock. Went to Avril's concert with Hidy. Apart from the parents, we were probably the oldest in the audience! There were so many young girls, clad in army-print pants & Converse sneakers, waving hand-drawn banners. :P X-Files Season 1 reruns on channel 7, which strangely began with "Genderbender". Important milestone in the year of 2005. ;)
May - Graduation! Mostly just those of us who didn't want to do Honours. But what a great way of seeing everyone again after 6 months. Three of my students did their piano exams: one A and two B+.
June - Nothing much happened in June.
July - Got my green Ps. Hehe. Turned 21 on the Governator's & Lisa Kudrow's birthday, LOL. Received a present that was to change the course of the rest of the year... ;)
August - It begins. I truly found my way back to The X-Files after losing interest (sort of) 6 years ago. I started watching XF from season 9 and was thinking, "Huh? Who are these new agents? Where's Mulder? Scully has a baby WTF?" Before long (after crying my eyes out watching "Trust No 1"), I began purchasing boxsets every few weeks, understanding the mythology and seeing a lot of myself in Scully. As well as 4 of my students doing music theory exams, I did my Musicianship exam for the 3rd time. And for the first time, I finished the exam.
September - TEH TRIP. LA, Vegas, Vancouver. Saw so many things I had only seen in movies/on TV before. Spent quality time with relatives I hadn't seen in years, and as a result, my cousin Alda and I are a lot closer. Also, realized some fangirl dreams, LOL. County General! Natural History Museum! Pendrell Suite (Scully's apartment!) Mulder's office (a display set...but amazing nonetheless!) And of course, Disneyland! That place cast a magic spell on me. :P
October - Became completely obsessed with Gillian...*blushes* Bleak House began in the UK. :) Became an English tutor to one of my music students. Much more difficult than teaching music. Received results from recent music exams, with one girl getting high distinction (96) and another guy doing extremely well (90) for 5th grade. And...I passed musicianship!
November - One student did her piano exam, and got A+!
December - Job hunting. No news yet. Was pianist for the choir at the Christmas midnight mass. That was just awesome. So much fun! I love Christmas.
*** Sent 11 messages/emails for tonights plans. 6 reponses. And what's most disappointing...only 1 coming (thank you Emily *hugs*). Happy new year, huh?
I hope your NYE plans aren't as depressing as mine. Best wishes for 2006!
