A somewhat proper update

Students' piano exams...last Monday...
They did just fine. I'm happy for them! They're not perfect, I don't expect them to be. Some things can't be fixed overnight, they come with experience. Next on their lists are theory exams and the St. George Eisteddfod. Busy busy busy.

Graduation Eve...also on Monday...
Headed back to uni to collect the gown and trench, and to take photos with Pamela because she had to fly home in the afternoon. :) There's Pamela, and I'm holding Florence's bunch of tulips...hee...

Graduation...last Tuesday...
The weather was dreadful! Which was a shame because we couldn't take as many photos as we wanted to, and The Scientia was jam-packed with people. Here's a pic of me with Leanna and Aileen (before the clouds rolled in and it started pouring)...

White...last Friday...
Mum and I decided, at the very last minute, to brave the bitter cold and watch White (performed by The Australian Ballet). Hmm...it was as good as we'd expected. The corps de ballet weren't very good, you see...they kept wobbling while doing their arabesques, and they weren't in time. The soloists were great though, the ladies with their pirouettes, and especially the men with their strong leaps! I love grand allegro work! Spectacular! But all in all, the show was quite plain, and for a company that represents our nation, they weren't quite good enough (compared to say, the British or the Russian dancers).

Piano Pieces for Children...all week...
It's my mum's favourite collection, and lately I've been digging this book too. Fur Elise, The Swan, Traumerei, Londonderry Air, Angel's Serenade, Melody in F, etc. These pieces are simply beautiful. I've been playing so much piano these days - I can sit at the piano and play for 4 hours straight. ::looks::

FA Cup final...Saturday/Sunday...
Manchester United vs. Arsenal. ::sigh:: Man Utd dominated most of the match, but they just could not score any goals. :( And so they lost on penalties. Cruel. The youngsters Christiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney were great, wish I could say the same about Ruud van Nistelrooy. The poor guy, he isn't in form. But I know he'll be back better than ever next season! No silverware for Man Utd this year.

Travel Savvy...today...
I received my little package from Tonya this morning. Yayness! My first ever mag with MT on the cover. ::grins:: Think I'm gonna make her a thank you note with butterflies in her fave colour. :)

PreElementary...today...
I've been a slob for too long! I got off the couch today and did a little bit of ballet, and, oh God, I am so unfit! I only managed to do the barre work (on both legs)...and I had to call it quits. That's what happens when you learn something, and you don't keep up with it! Haha! I'm gonna make it a goal to get my abs and butt back into shape. ;)

That's all for now. Time for Ally.
