twas the night

Got my results. Ha-ha!

Yay! I can graduate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screencaps from Darwinist Memoirs.

LOL. It was unbelieveable though. I don't know how I did it, and I wish my results were like this for the past 5 semesters too. 3 distinctions and a high distinction. And they were proper science subjects too. Thanks be to God. I think sleeping and eating before exams help a great deal. Try not to cram, but always bring your notes with you to have a quick glance over before you enter the exam hall.

Maybe it's because I got my priorities right. Maybe it's because I concentrated on all things medical. Maybe it's because I wanted to do well simply because I wanted to do well, not because of some silly incentive that doesn't even matter 10 years down the track.

Thanks to everyone who wished me luck, and thanks to mum who fed me and cleaned up my crap, and both mum & dad for transport, and thanks to everyone at home who put up with my graveyard shifts.

Enought about me.

Tonight on ER (US/Can): CHRISTMAS IN THE ER IS ALWAYS TOUGH - It's Christmas Eve, and the ER staff scrambles to leave for the holiday. Abby (Maura Tierney) receives a dialysis patient who is in critical condition, but she can't reach his physician because he doesn't want to be disturbed during the holidays. After much effort a distraught Chen (Ming-Na) finally finds someone to cover her shift so she can attend to her ailing father. Concerned for her, Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) stops by her house to find her struggling with her father's worsening health. Carter (Noah Wyle) and Wendall (Madchen Amick) grow closer and share an awkward kiss as they wish each other a Merry Christmas.

(Lola ::frowns:: at the last sentence...)

I love reading first-hand experiences about inspirational people. I always have. Here's an account from an aspiring actress from the C&P board:

"...my roomie also went on 2 wks later..she is sherry's photo double. unfortunatly she is not a fan but i am trying to convert her she told me about a scene she watched where maura runs into the amb bay hysterically crying and screaming. it gave her chills to see how good maura did the scene...."

It just makes you sit back and go "wow..." when you read things like this.

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
