Taps
It's funny what weird ideas and thoughts come up when you're in the shower LOL! Anyway, why does red tap = hot water, and blue tap = cold water? Gosh, you're all probably thinking "well, duh!", but next time you use the stove, carefully observe the gas flame. Certainly the reddish-yellowish parts of the flame are hot, but isn't the hottest flame the blue-cone flame? (think bunsen burner...). So, considering the case of the gas flame, why does red imply something is hot, and blue for cold? Where did the idea of red = hot and blue = cold originate? Just pondering...
