A Big Thanks to All My Friends
Realised I haven't blogged about my 20th bday yet. That's what happens when your bday is during the first week of school, and you're running around trying to settle all the lab allocations, getting books etc. and you kinda forget about your personal life a little. Just a little. :)
Thanks to everyone for your cards, presents, text messages and icq messages. Especially those *surprise* ones - it's always nice to receive something nice when you least expect it. Thanks to:
mum and dad, my bro, Alda (my loveliest cousin)
Cat - my special July 30 pal *winks*
Ting and Kelly - your surprises are always so personal and heartwarming :)
Kit - we're officially each other's sweeties...hee hee! Missing you heaps. Love you even more. :)
Jo - the purple envelope addressed to Abby Lockhart made my day!
Leanna - for being the bestest pal and sis and classmate since high school
Pamela - for knowing me too well only after a year LOL!
Ryan, Eilen, Aileen, TQ, Christina - argh...the jeans are too small - told ya I now have a butt! :P
Chew, Kate and other net-pals - for not ignoring the ICQ bday reminder pop-up hehe...
I'm sorry if I left out any names in the list (you guys know who you are).
So what's up these days...school. 24 hrs a week. The cycle of tests and assignments resumes next week. Oh well, one sem to go! One sem to go! And then I can start working my ass off to attempt to get into med school.
For the past 2 weekends I was helping my former piano teacher out at the annual St. George Piano Eisteddfod she organised. All these familiar faces asked if I was competing...my response: "I'm retired!" Hehe! It's true though. These days, I'm scribing for the adjudicator (sp?), organising everyone's music, and I entered 3 students in the eisteddfod. Feeling *old*. Hehe.
I've been monitoring my dietary intake and physical activity for the past 72 hours. No, not on a diet...hehe...it's for my biochem assignment. Felt like a freak weighing out all my food (I was weighing out 50g of potato chips simply for a snack! And I've restricted myself to packaged food because of the nutritional info on the packaging.) Good thing McDonald's food now come with the nutritional info - it's so clearly set out on the website! Now that I've recorded all the data, wonder if I can work out why the heck I'm still so thin...
I've changed my spending habits. Haven't done proper shopping since I got back from Singapore. These days I spend on food. I swear I'm getting serious about putting on weight. I want to reach at least 50kg. *munch munch munch*
