HAPPY :)

I had a nice day today. I really did! It's been a long time since I felt so happy - but not in the hyperactive way. It was the content kind of happy...if you get what I mean.

I watched the episode of Oprah with Noah in it. Usually I'd go hyper because of the whole ER thing, but today, apart from the whole ER thing, what touched me was what Noah said about his baby son (Owen), and what he saw in Owen. "He's going to get hurt, he's going to get teased, he'll go through a lot in his life, but my dream for him is that he'll maintain the spirit that I see in him right now."

Then I drove to Leanna's place to return her lecture notes. We just sat and chatted for an hour, drank this weird Japanese-rice-green-tea, and playing with her puppy. Usually I'm not a dog person (as you all know!) but Cookie (the dog) was exceptionally friendly, and kept licking my toes LOL! Leanna has recovered from a severe case of chicken pox (which she spread to her brother...), and only now can she study for her final exams (and I'm like off to SG in a few days). Poor thing... It was nice catching up with her and befriending Cookie. :)

Then came my long-awaited Maura Movie Night with Anna! We watched Oxygen and Scotland PA, and discussed how the transformation of Macbeth into Scotland PA. Anna is going to buy a Macbeth study guide...hehe... It was a nice evening in front of the fireplace, enjoying Maura's most notable performances in film. And of course we talked about our beloved TV series, and the pre-Abby era (when we liked Lucy and the younger Carter and the non-bitchy Jing-mei)...and somehow we went on to discussing med schools in Aust, and that I'll be taking the GAMSAT next year and hopefully following in Abby's footsteps.

These days I've been learning how to play Hold'em Poker on Yahoo!Games, I won $500 last night, but lost $300 tonight. Thank goodness it's only cyber-money!

Ok, off now to do my music homework...

(Countdown: 5 days to go!)

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
