"first snowfall"

Ok, maybe not, since it doesn't snow over here. But it sure as hell feels that cold! Cold enough for my dad who pays the household bills to finally turn on the mega gas heater in the lounge room. A sign winter has finally come, although June is the official start of winter. I actually prefer the warmer seasons, but you might think otherwise at the sight of me fainting everytime I come over to Singapore! But winter clothes are definitely more beautiful, more cosy and there's more to toy around with. I'm such a sucker for sweaters - wool or cashmere or even just cotton blend. Turtleneck or V-neck. Ribbed. Plain colour or striped. Designer or bargain-shop. I love sweaters! Of course, wintry colours are more comfortable to the eye too... And then there are scarves and boots and overcoats and woollen (sp?) hats...

My exam timetable is out. The provisional one anyway. All wrapped up in under one week. Right now the word "exam" sounds life-threatening. Yeah.

Friday 18th June - Bacteria & Disease
Tuesday 22nd June - Microbial Genetics (Advanced)
Thursday 24th June - Immunology (Advanced)

I still dunno why I took Microbial Genetics. Advanced module too. Not even compulsory to do it. I'm failing miserably. It's suicide in disguise.

Let's talk about happier things. Two months till my next trip to Singapore! Two nights till ER! Two days till Maura goes on The View! (wonder if I can get someone with Foxtel to record it...)

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
