VIABLE OPTIONS
Many people ask: "What do you want to do after you graduate?" I often just answer, "well, erm...researching in a lab I guess?" It's just simple and logical answer, but really, will that be the case?
For the past few months until 3 weeks ago, I even considered becoming an actress. Gees. Like real. I mean, I might do it for fun (like with a community college or something), but not as a full-time profession. If I really wanted to follow that path, I would've started drama classes when I was younger and never stopped the ballet. I watched Forbidden City and The Lion King...that's probably what got me thinking about dancing and stuff again.
Yesterday's graphics project got me thinking again. It took me forever just to create 3 small images. I just found it so difficult thinking of ideas, whereas in the previous project (where we had to pick resources and discuss about them), it was so straightforward. And in music, I can analyse a piece of music on the spot (spontaneously) even if it's the first time I'm listening to it. I've been talking about composing for almost 3 years already, and haven't come up with even a 4-bar phrase. I have reached a conclusion - I'm more analytical than creative. I like to dream, but I'm pragmatic 70% of the time. I prefer drama to comedy (I quit watching Sex and the City starting Monday). I think I was born to be a scientist...
Just now, mum and I were discussing where my degree would take me. I asked what she thought about me considering med school all over again. She says I have her approval - just as long as I pay the fees...hehe. I should complete my honours year next year, get a job and work for about 2-3 years, and perhaps go to med school in the States or UK or elsewhere after. Doing med in Australia isn't as internationally recognised. And I don't fancy the possibility of serving my internship in rural Australia...God no.
Med school shall be my motivation once more!
