FRIDAY FIVE + EASTER
1. What do you do for a living? Right now I'm a uni student. At the moment, I teach music for a living.
2. What do you like most about your job? The flexibility, I work from home, and it's the kind of job where you get so much back from what you give (hmm...do you get what I mean?).
3. What do you like least about your job? Lazy students. Irresponsible, unsupportive and hard-to-deal-with parents.
4. When you have a bad day at work it's usually because _____... Students either turn up late or don't turn up at all. It's a waste of time and effort preparing for that particular lesson, and of course, I earn less for that week.
5. What other career(s) are you interested in? medicine, acting - either becoming a real doctor, or acting as a doctor in a medical drama
Spent the Easter weekend attending 3 masses - Good Friday (where I had singing duties), Easter Saturday (a 3hr-long mass because so many people were getting baptised), Easter Sunday (monthly Chinese mass). Attended youth group bible sharing/meditation - now that was really the highlight of my day today. Later went to Agnes's place to celebrate the rest of Easter Sunday, where I ate delicious pasta and played Understand, Dreams, Waiting & Why Dream of Love (instead of karaoke); and also played monopoly, where I was the only one to land into jail!
On Thursday, attended Leanna's dinner & karaoke outing. Am beginning to detest karaoke, esp. at the public places. I felt absolutely horrible. Apart from the stench of stale cigarettes and the unbelievably high prices (which I had expected and was prepared for), I think karaoke spoils the art of singing. I obligingly sang ONE Kit song (Waiting, in Mandarin), as I promised I'd only sing if there was Kit. I felt bad...like I was destructing the poor song in that dark claustrophobic environment of the karaoke room. There were plenty more Kit songs this time, but no, I can't possibly sing our beloved Kit songs in an environment like that. Instead I sang Stefanie Sun's Somewhere and Hey Jude, and A-Do's jian chi dao di (thanks to Ting for providing the pinyin)...I had to sing something (I don't already have at home) cos I paid $9.60. Such a rip-off. Gosh, I am never ever gonna do karaoke again. I enjoy singing, but not staring at a tv screen in a dark & stuffy 5-by-4-metre room.
Been downloading many ER clips and Maura interviews from Wry Smile. I started watching Late Show With David Letterman and NBC Today too, and shall begin to watch Entertainment Tonight from tomorrow onwards. All this just to catch a glimpse of any ER news and spoilers! Also rented Liar Liar and Forces of Nature from Blockbuster to watch. My eyes are tired from all the tv I've been watching! Just wanna enjoy my Easter long weekend before I head back to uni (unlike everyone else) for my intensive 4-day lab course.
It's 4:15am...so, that's all for now. Like my new blog design? *winks*
