STUCK

I'm still experiencing many firsts in my life. What happened today? I got stuck in the lift for the very first time. It's true! Pamela, Shirley and I were heading to lab on level 3 as usual. Obviously we wouldn't climb 3 levels of stairs, right? So we entered the lift, along with this other guy. Then the lift reached level 1, and just stopped, and the door wouldn't open. The four of us in the lift exchanged glances...

I pressed every button on the lift, the guy kept pressing the "open door" button... and then I decided to go "1-2-3 and jump!" (hahaha.....learnt that from You've Got Mail) OK, so we did all that and nothing happened. Then Pamela pressed the emergency bell...now obviously people are gonna think it's a prank or something, so that didn't work.

And then, the guy decided to use the emergency phone in the lift...he was asked by staff if we were ok, and we were ok but the door couldn't open. Them the staff answered the guy that they'd contact the lift company and they'll send representatives over (what the f***?!)...and that would be another 10 min! The four of us stood there, silent...until I blurted out, "hehe...isn't this just like the movies?" And also, "Is our demonstrator gonna believe that we were stuck in a lift?"

We grew impatient, and the guy and I yanked at the door...after several attempts, we finally got the door open. Then it was like, "shit, we better cancel our emergency rescue team..."

Dunno why, but I thought being stuck in a lift was so funny! ;P Guess that proves I don't have claustrophobia...
