The Girl with the Goalden Boot

While you were sleeping
The snowflakes descended lightly on the rooftop
I quietly moved closer to you
To listen to the beating of your heart
They could not see
The snow delicately forming icicles

I understand your silence
And the matters of your heart
The distance between us is transparent
Your ears are cold
But your shoulders are warm
The happiness we want is simple

While you were sleeping
The leaves fell lightly onto the streets below
I quietly curled up by your side
To hear your every breath
They could not see
The flowers blooming in the spring

Your gentleness is mine
Your naivety is mine
Your smile is what I adore most
You understand my tenacity
And my endless changes
My simplicity is what you truly understand
