Stuvac is officially over, and some students actually finished their first exam today. I must say I can get back to studying - I mean it! I wrote 8000 words in 5 days, did you know that? That's too much writing for one who can't write. So today, I was back in the backyard, under the sun, happily studing molecular biology and microbiology.
I'm glad this year I reached the word limit of 2500 words for my med science essay. And I finished 3 hours early! Last year for med science, I couldn't even reach 1500 words, and submitted my essay about 30 sec. before deadline. :T
Two of my students will be going for their piano exams next Tuesday, and I hope they do well. One is in 1st grade, the other is a 5th-grader. I've seen how they've improved throughout the year, and I hope all goes well for them. Especially Martin, the boy in 1st grade. It's his first piano exam, and achieving a good grade will be very encouraging to him. Jacqueline, the girl in 5th grade, has learnt to play so expressively in the past few weeks, even my own piano teacher was impressed with her. It's unfortunate that she's a natural poor sight reader. Yep, I hope everything will turn out well for them.
This morning, I learnt a new word from Sesame Street. Yes, you read correctly, I'm a 19-yr-old and I learnt a new word watching this morning's episode of Sesame Street! It was in Cookie Monster's segment, "Letter of the Day". Today's letter was P, and the word I learnt was "piquant". Hehe...
I have numerous emails to reply before I start my intense mugging tomorrow. Those I haven't emailed in a while (in my definition that's only a week long!)...I hope you haven't been thinking that I don't care about you. I do keep you in my thoughts, it's just I didn't want to write too much because I had written bloody 8000 words in only 5 days.
To end today's entry...
Diamonds sure are a girl's best friend, no matter what stage of life she's in. *winks*
