The Girl with the Goalden Boot

Today is a good day in terms of numbers. August 8...and 28 days till THE DAY! :)

Anyway...here's a Friday 5 (recently been picking and choosing good questions)...

1. What's the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?
Singapore

2. What's the most bizarre/unusual thing that's ever happened to you while traveling?
Took this trip to Thredbo in Jan 2000 with parents, and we went with Leanna and her parents. We stayed at this motel, and somehow Leanna and I landed in this dodgy room that was poorly lit, full of mosquitoes and worst of all, on a "smoking" level. Hmph! We sorta trashed the room (a bit), took the soap and shampoo and teabags and biscuits, messed up the beds... Then Leanna's dad went to complain (till he became really fierce!) to the staff for handing "2 little girls" such a crappy room, and then each of us had to sleep with our parents...and we had our money for that room refunded!

3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?
Those nice places by the seashore they ALWAYS show on Getaway! And it's always Catriona who gets to do the "seashore" stories...so envious! :P

4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?
Definitely plane. It's always so exciting! It's like, the moment you step on the plane, you begin one big adventure! And it's exciting when I ask for the kid's pack even at my age (except my most recent trip, cos I was toooooo occupied with Dreamscape!), then I like counting down (time and distance) to my destination. The only thing I don't like is the toilet, especially when it flushes. I'm still scared of it. :T And I like how I could see Hurstville from high up in the sky! (I was so excited I was SCREAMING to my mum..."HURSTVILLE! HURSTVILLE! Look!!! Wow...shopping centre, Forest Road, train tracks!)

Travelling by train - yucks! Trains are so dirty! And there is always some drunk bloke on the train... Travelling by car is boring. So yeah, the 911 terrorist attacks still haven't taken away the excitement of a plane trip.

5. What's the next place on your list to visit?
Haha...in 28 days...anyone who reads this blog can answer this question!

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
