Australia drops Singapore from SARS travel advisory list

Australia said yesterday it was no longer advising its citizens to defer non-essential visits to Singapore, but warned the city-state was still listed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a SARS-affected area.
"It no longer recommends that Australians consider deferring non-essential travel to Singapore for SARS-related reasons," the Australian High Commission (embassy) in Singapore said in a statement.
