Questions from Friday5...

1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
I dunno....it changes all the time. I've always liked Patricia Cornwell's novels. Lately I've been reading various magazines like Cosmo, Cleo, Vogue, Marie Claire etc. (oh no...becoming vain!)

2. What is your favorite novel?
My favourite novel? I think it's Patricia Cornwell's The Last Precinct.

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
(note: I don't have the poem with me, this is what I remember at the top of my head!)
Smile for the Camera (Kit Chan)
I become the clothes that they put on me
Pretty falsies, frosty eyelids, paint on the smile.
Come on, honey, smile for the camera!

Now suck in that tummy
That Paul loves to hold
Tuck everything in
Make sure nothing shows.

They laugh as I pout and roll my eyes
They watch as I strip
Away all inhibitions
Come on, honey, pose for the camera!

My face feels like a mud-cake
I've got stickers on my nipples
What the F*CK I still gotta
SMILE FOR THE CAMERA?!?!
(Come on, honey!)

I feel like a schizo-en-vogue, crazy and happy
Feeling delirious behind all these masks
Doing the things I could never do
Go on, smile for the camera!

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
Old Kit magazine articles! (Ting, I'm not finished with your files yet!)

5. What are you currently reading?
A Chinese story called Walking Left, Walking Right

Lola is a medical scientist, music teacher, hoping to be a forensic pathologist one day, Catholic, neat freak... She worships Dana Scully from The X-Files and Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell's novels. And she loves football. (background by Kess)
