Hahahaha!!!!! I bought another costume today! :P The black Burberry polo tee with checked collar! I finally found the biggest Burberry outlet in Sydney. Do you guys have any idea how hard it is to find designer brands in Sydney? Even the best department store, David Jones, only has a little counter of Burberry only. And the malls in the rich suburb Chatswood don't even have Burberry. I ended up going to a Japanese tourist area at The Rocks, and found Burberry, Christian Dior, Bvlgari, LV etc. all under one roof! Now I know where to go get my costumes!
But I did feel a bit awkward today walking into those boutiques...I mean, I went there after my lab ended and I was looking scruffy...then I see all these Jap tourists and aunties, and I'm like the youngest there by 20 years at least..... Oh well, I found what I wanted to! Only thing bad is that the exact same piece of clothing costed $50 less at Changi Airport than at The Rocks. :T I was $5 short when I left Singapore about 3 weeks ago, and of course, I couldn't let my parents know that I was gonna get a polo tee that costed $100+ (and definitely couldn't let them know the reason behind the tee!) I still haven't told them the price of my Four...
I remember throughout last year I stocked up on a heap of casual clothing — was really surfie last year! Nearly bought the whole Roxy store! And others like Billabong, Mambo, Mermaid Sister, Rip Curl etc. And even at Esprit I bought all the casual-everyday stuff. Then one day in June I realised I'd made it to the finals for the Youth Music Awards, and I had nothing to wear! O_o Luckily last year that was the only major performing thing I had to attend!
This year, however, I think my teacher's gonna get me to perform more to prepare for my exam. I'm so glad I stocked up on a few items from Roses in the Loft! :) I guess girls will always be girls — our shopping can never end! What's worse is that this year, I think I'll need to spend more on clothing...performance wear costs too much! And the only stuff that catches my eye is the upper-end, posh, sparkling, designer labels! *faints*
Anyway, back to the Burberry tee. Initially I thought it was really auntie-looking too. Until at school, I saw these 2 Korean gals...one was wearing a 3/4 sleeve Burberry top, the other was wearing a sky-blue striped Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with jeans. They actually looked quite nice in them. So that's how I spent $150 on one item today. It's by far the most expensive piece of clothing I bought in my life, but I really like it. :)
I'm sick of being a scruffy tomboy...
